I am aware that the statistics appear contradictory. The NHS threshold for Alzheimers may be higher than the Alzheimer's Society. Just shows how misunderstood the disease is.

 

Scientific Basis

A report in the New York Academy of Science about Music and Alzeheimers states:
"Effects of Music Therepy in patients with Alzheimers Disease include improved mood, reduced depressive scores and trait anxiety, enhanced autobiographical recall, verbal fluency, and cognition."

Importantly Music Therepy to the patient helped caregiver distress.
